About Page
Here you can learn more about gaming related activities and linkes.
This page gives a taste of the gaming related material I have created over time. I include some of my older events I've run at GenCon for many years. I'm currently focusing on Savage Worlds as a game system. I create a few game aids and I am working on a setting. Take a look and I welcome your thoughts.
I have an entire page on Savage Worlds material. You can check it all out on the Savage Worlds page here.
Tabletop Tango is a video series focussing on tabletop RPG games. The goal is to do deep-dives on topics including rules, techniques, and general tips for players and Gane Masters. Check out Tabletop Tango!
I also write music of a more heavy rock feel. There just isn't enough rock songs about RPGs so I wrote some. Check out the list of songs on my site and the RPG ones are called out. RPG Music! If you like the songs, I normally do heavier rock tunes that you might also like. My Music!
I created a couple of dice rollers you can use with your Stream Deck for a one-push dice roll! It includes a way of sending rolls to other programs (even a demonstration for using it with your streaming game). Stream Deck Software!
I fell down the rabbit hole on some retro 8-bit computing. Naturally, I created a dice roller for an 8-bit retro computer in assembly (or course). This is compatible with the popular Commander X16 computer based on 65C02 processor and has a Commodore 64 vibe to it. Retro 8-Bit Dice!
Here are scripts I've written for Roll20 Virtual TableTop (VTT).
Alien Dice! A Roll20 dice roller for the Alien RPG. This script performs dice pool rolls for the Alien RPG and displays a graphical representation of the results. It displays the graphic faces of the base and stress dice at the same time.
Here is an Excel sheet that does random rolls. Just do a recalculate on the formula tab and get a new set of rolls.
You can download the roller here.
The Loot Roller Extreme provides and Excel sheet that allows a GM to create a set of tables that can be reandomly choosen from. It is done by both the odds of a particular type and by the rarity of the items. This is useful for loot boxes, chest contents, random dungeon tables, or even random plot hooks.
You can download the template sheet here.
Here is an example to show you how to use it as well. First, finding loot boxes in a Fallout style game and a random dungeon trappings sheet.
Stars Without Number is an open world science fiction game. It has a great following and an extremely well done planet creator. I replicated the rolling for information in an Excel spreadsheet (compatibel with LibreOffice). I am not affiliated with the publisher and this tools requires the rules available on DriveThruRPG.
You can download the planet generator here.
I have several adventures for Savage Worlds coming up at a variety of conventions, including GenCon. The two events this year are "Is This Just Another Bug Hunt?" and "The Helix Nebula Situation". Both I plan on releasing after the convention (assuming I feel comfortable with the writing).
TheSavage Worlds page has much more information on the adventures.
I ran a large number of events at GenCon since 1995 (with a few year hiatus I'm about to stop). These were mostly Dragonlance based adventures. One included Kender as a main character and I often had people waiting 20 minutew before to be the first in line to play one.
I'm providing a link for some of the events. This page will definitely look like it came from the early days of the web...and it because it IS from the early days of the web. The events were written and upload on my site around 1999 to 2001. Take a look at the old adventures!
